Thomasville Humane Statement Regarding Board Leadership

Today, the Thomasville Humane Society learned of the charges reported publicly against one of our Board of Directors, Adam Carvin. Mr. Carvin has resigned from the Thomasville Humane Board of Directors, and the Board accepted his resignation. Dr. Beckey Malphus will serve as acting Chair until the Board elects a successor Chair.
Because this is a pending legal matter, it would be inappropriate for us to comment on the matter. Thomasville Humane takes these matters seriously and it will cooperate fully with any investigation if called upon to do so.
Thomasville Humane's work continues without interruption. Our staff, volunteers, and supporters remain focused on our mission: caring for the animals of our community and finding them homes. We are grateful to the community for its continued trust and support.
